We are recruiting for a Saw Operator to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Barnsley.

Your duties will include

Setting up and operating a bar saw.

Measuring materials accurately using tapes, Vernier calipers, and other measuring equipment.

Cutting materials to customer specifications and engineering drawings.

Feeding your own machine using an overhead crane and forklift truck.

Banding, labelling, and preparing finished products for dispatch.

Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet specification.

Keeping your work area clean, safe, and organised.

Supporting the wider warehouse and production team when required.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience operating a band saw or bar saw within a manufacturing or steel environment.

Confident using measuring equipment, including Vernier calipers.

Experience reading measurements accurately and working to tight tolerances.

An overhead crane licence is advantageous.

A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is desirable.

Someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of their work.

A reliable team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
