Jark Cambridge are collaborating with arguably Cambridgeshire's most decorated & respected M&E firms. We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Small Works Manager to join an experienced, well-established team. This is a key role overseeing the successful delivery of a variety of small works projects from client enquiry through to completion, ensuring a seamless, high-quality service every step of the way.

You will work closely with the Project Management and Admin Teams to manage the transition from tender to delivery, monitor financial performance, and support the completion of new business contracts. The focus will be on delivering timely, efficient, and client-focused outcomes.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Act as the key account manager for new small works enquiries, engaging directly with clients.
  • Carry out site surveys and prepare quotations for small works projects.
  • Review and create PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) schedules to meet client requirements.
  • Ensure tenders and proposals are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of project delivery, including sourcing materials, arranging labour, liaising with specialist sub-contractors, and ensuring all certification is completed at project close.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, site engineers, and department heads to ensure projects meet our high standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the department head to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance is maintained across all projects.
  • Carry out other ad hoc duties as required.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Strong technical understanding of Mechanical and Electrical installations.
  • Excellent customer service and client-facing skills, with the ability to balance multiple internal and external priorities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional organisational and administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Sage CRM and Xpedeon is desirable.
  • Prior experience in a construction or building services environment would be advantageous.
