SR Black, part of the Evotech Group, deliver a comprehensive range of mechanical, electrical and drainage services including design, installation, maintenance, and repair solutions. Our services enhance and maintain commercial buildings, protect mechanical and electrical assets, and safeguard critical infrastructure. Operating throughout East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, we are based locally from our Hull offices.
We are now seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join our service delivery team, due to our continued growth and expansion. This is a mobile based role which involves travelling throughout Hull and East Yorkshire.
Responsibilities
- Undertake PPM and reactive maintenance works, including fault finding, repair and installation of electrical services
- Complete all paperwork, service records and documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Be proactive, use your initiative and take ownership of situations
- Ensure all work carried out is done in accordance with health & safety procedures and current electrical standards
About You
Having succeeded in a similar role you will hold all relevant professional qualifications and will be proactive, self-motivated, and work equally well independently and as part of the wider team. You will be able to build and maintain relationships across the organisation and with our customers. You would ideally be located in the Hull or Humberside area.
Essential Qualifications And Experience
- City and Guilds electrical qualification (or equivalent) level 2 or above
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
- HVAC experience would be an advantage
- Good technical knowledge as well as the ability to multi-task
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload to deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative
- Ability to work from instruction and make decisions as needed with minimal supervision
- Friendly and approachable nature with great communication skills (including written)
- Great attention to detail with excellent time management skills
Your remuneration
This is a permanent position, Monday to Friday, working 40 hours per week between 08:00 and 17:00. Starting salary from £44,000.00 depending on experience. Additional hours available (overtime). Out of hours on call payment (cover required every 1 in 4 weeks). Fully expensed company vehicle. 25 days holiday (pro rata), plus bank holidays per year. Life insurance scheme. Company pension plan.
