The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 ÂŁ per year.
Job Purpose: To create drawings of our products for customers, demonstrating how space can be utilised optimally. These designs include details of the type and quantity of materials to be used, which allows the Sales team to generate quotations.
Responsibilities:
- Using building plans and surveys to design 2D construction projects for steel storage partitioning systems (using AutoCAD).
- Planning reconstructions of existing facilities and buildings in order to make them more attractive and/or functional for customers (using AutoCAD, Revit).
- Supporting the Operations team by passing on relevant project details and helping to overcome any on-site challenges.
- Producing accurate âtake offsâ of material quantities for the Sales team to use when providing quotations to customers.
- Consulting with Sales Managers, Project Managers and the customer in order to ascertain any further required information about the project â e.g. construction details or installation methods.
Key attributes/skills and qualifications:
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD (essential).
- Experience working within architectural/construction projects.
- Basic knowledge of Revit.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (particularly Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Flexible and âcan-doâ attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Committed to ongoing improvement.
- Good understanding of architectural design and space planning.
- Comfortable with the âgrey areasâ of design.
- An aptitude for problemâsolving.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Occasional travel will be required for this role, including site visits and visits to our other office.
