Are you a recent university graduate with a passion for design, space planning and turning ideas into clear technical drawings using AutoCAD? Or are you looking for a career change where you can use your technical drawing skills? We’re looking for a Design Technician to join our Design team and play a key role in bringing customer projects to life.
As a Design Technician, you’ll create 2D and 3D designs for steel storage partitioning systems, helping our customers optimise their space and supporting our Sales and Operations teams with accurate, high‑quality technical drawings.
What you’ll be doing:
- Producing 2D construction drawings from surveys and building plans (AutoCAD)
- Creating 3D visualisations of projects and spaces (AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max)
- Redesigning existing facilities to improve functionality and appearance
- Carrying out on‑site surveys where required
- Preparing accurate material take‑offs for quotations
- Collaborating closely with Sales Managers, Project Managers, Operations teams, and customers
What we’re looking for:
- Basic/ intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD (essential)
- Experience in architectural or construction‑related projects
- Basic knowledge of Revit
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A flexible, can‑do mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Comfortable working with the “grey areas” of design
