The predicted salary is between 60000 - 72000 £ per year.

We are seeking a qualified accountant to support financial reporting and audit processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical accounting expertise under IFRS and US GAAP, supporting accounting matters and financial reporting judgments.
  • Assess the financial reporting and accounting implications of recent take‑private transactions, including identifying and implementing accounting, reporting, and process changes.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the external audit process, preparing supporting analysis.
  • Support the Financial Reporting team through a period of change, contributing to monthly, quarterly, and year‑end reporting deliverables.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

  • Required Qualifications
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post‑qualification experience in financial reporting and financial control.
  • Significant practical experience applying IFRS, including robust technical accounting analysis and sound financial reporting judgment.
  • Experience managing financial reporting and audit processes.
  • Advanced competency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and independently with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly and take time to understand the area and its requirements.
  • Results‑driven approach, including making enhancements and improvements to processes.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others at Janus Henderson.
  • Nice to Have
  • Good working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Proficiency with SAP (S/4, ERP, BPC, GR and BAO).
  • Exposure to a global organization in a complex group structure and multi‑country, multi‑currency environment.
  • Investment management experience preferred but not essential.
