Opportunity: We are part way through a multi-year Finance Transformation Programme (FTP). We are evolving our function across processes, data, and technology to improve efficiency and enable better analysis to support the wider business. A successful candidate will contribute across the Finance function and play a key role in the transformation.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting into a Finance Manager, this role provides an excellent opportunity for growth and development.
• Private Credit Accounting Controller responsible for financial governance, accounting oversight, and control environment for the firm’s private credit products and related regulated entities.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, robust control execution, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness while partnering with Investments, Operations, Fund Administrators, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Product Development, and external service providers.
• Support coordination of the monthly global close process for Revenue and Distribution accounting.
• Active role in all streams of finance transformation including design, testing, data migration, reporting, and analytics.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Must have skills:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• 8+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Ability to work accurately and independently with excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation and delivery of workpapers.
• Results-driven approach with ability to enhance and improve processes and increase transparency of analysis.
• Ability to get up to speed quickly, with willingness to understand the area and its requirements.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders across Janus Henderson.
• Ability to step back, review, and challenge processes.
• Ability to meet deadlines, for example at month-end.
• Ability to analyze data and provide relevant financial insight.

Nice to have skills:

• Investment Management, Private Credit, or Financial Services industry experience.
• SAP S/4HANA experience.
• Experience of working in a global organisation.

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on company, department, team and individual performance.
