Your Opportunity

We are looking for an Analyst (maternity cover) to join the Guideline Oversight team as a monitoring resource on investment restrictions. The role is highly visible and offers substantial breadth of experience in a dynamic environment.

Team Overview

The Investment Guideline Compliance team provides oversight and support to all fund management desks and the central dealing function in respect of investment guideline matters.

Responsibilities include:

  • Timely identification and investigation of investment guideline related issues.
  • Monitoring of pre‑, post‑ and batch trade alerts and warnings.
  • Research breaches to determine whether they are passive or active and advise on actions.
  • Clear communication with relevant stakeholders on breach‑related matters.
  • Interpretation of investment guidelines within operational, client‑specific and regulatory fund documentation.
  • Support senior management with the preparation of business and committee reporting.

Must Have Skills:

  • Prior user experience with Charles River or Aladdin.
  • Knowledge of key regulatory issues and rule frameworks (UCITS, 40 Act, ERISA, etc.).
  • Ability to work in multiple teams and leverage internal and external networks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with key business representatives (fund managers, dealers, etc.).
  • Problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate complex regulation and its impact effectively.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • IMC or IAQ qualification (desirable).
  • Minimum 12 months of prior experience in compliance, preferably investment related.
  • Experience across a range of product and instrument types.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience at an asset manager or investment bank.
