Your opportunity: Join our Responsibility Team, which drives our firm’s Responsibility strategy, including corporate responsibility, ESG integration across our portfolio suite, and the development of JHI Brighter Future Funds for clients seeking purposeful investment. The team proactively navigates a dynamic regulatory landscape and partners closely with Investments, Client Group, Product, Compliance, Risk, and Legal, operating from both London and Denver.
In this role, you will drive the analysis of emerging sustainability regulations and shape practical, scalable solutions that enable Janus Henderson to meet global obligations with confidence. Acting as a key link between the Responsibility Strategy & Operations team and the wider organisation, you will translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable plans, ensuring compliance is embedded across processes and systems.
You will work in close partnership with the Responsibility Team and collaborate with multiple functions—including Compliance, Risk, Legal, Product, Investments, and Client Group—to deliver solutions that balance regulatory demands with operational efficiency and client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, own, and maintain end-to-end regulatory project plans and milestone schedules, ensuring delivery of key outcomes aligned to strategic objectives.
- Lead stakeholder engagement activities, including governance forums and workshops, to gather, validate and align business requirements.
- Monitor and assess new sustainability-related regulations across jurisdictions, including UK TCFD, SFDR, CSRD, CSDDD, EU Taxonomy, UK SRS (ISSB), and UK SDR, assessing implications for Janus Henderson’s products, reporting, and operations.
- Partner with Public Affairs to shape regulatory objectives and contribute to industry consultations, drafting commentary and submissions to regulators where appropriate.
- Analyse new sustainability-related regulatory requirements to determine impact on portfolio characteristics, data, reporting frameworks, and operational processes.
- Collaborate across the organisation to design optimal compliance approaches, including frameworks, methodologies, and process enhancements that balance regulatory obligations with client and operational needs.
- Translate business requirements into actionable project plans, including scope, timelines, dependencies, and resource needs.
- Collect and interpret market intelligence and internal/external data to inform decision‑making and meet regulatory reporting requirements.
- Provide transition support for new regulations, ensuring interim solutions are in place until long‑term processes and systems are implemented.
- Build strong relationships and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders across the firm, ensuring transparency and alignment on regulatory priorities.

Must have skills:
- Proven experience in project management, ideally within financial services or asset management.
- Strong understanding of sustainability-related regulations, with practical experience in one or more of the following: UK TCFD, UK SRS (ISSB), SFDR, CSRD, CSDDD, EU Taxonomy, UK SDR.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable business and operational solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills, including leading workshops and working groups to drive consensus and gather requirements.
- Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis and reporting frameworks.
Nice to have skills:
- Experience with ESG data and reporting tools (e.g., Workiva, Bloomberg ESG, or similar platforms).
- Knowledge of global sustainability frameworks and standards beyond regulations, such as GRI, SASB, or PRI.
- Change management expertise, including embedding new processes and training stakeholders.
- Vendor and third‑party management experience, particularly for data providers or consulting partners.
- Exposure to technology‑enabled solutions for regulatory reporting (data architecture, workflow automation).
