JANUS et Cie®, the design-focused leader in the furniture industry, is continuing its growth and global expansion. The company is now seeking to strengthen its position in the UK through this post, we are seeking a Residential Sales Specialist to work full-time in our brand new London showroom.
For more than 40 years, JANUS et Cie has offered sophisticated, high-end indoor and outdoor furnishings and is growing in all major locations throughout the U.S., catering to all market sectors. The sales team, partnered with its backup sales support, is peerless and top of class in the industry.
The daily activities of a Residential Sales Specialist include, but are not limited to:
- Servicing existing trade clients: interior design firms, architects, purchasing agents, dealers
- Developing new sales leads with residential firms
- Managing residential sales accounts and dealers
- Assisting the showroom manager with events to drive business
- Delivering exceptional service to all clients from start to end
- Maintaining the showroom to be client-ready
- Preparing presentations and showcasing product
We are seeking a highly successful, sales-oriented person with a thorough understanding of the high-end and luxury furniture industry and its purchasing process. The person would ideally have worked in a similar position in the region and thereby obtained full knowledge of the key decision makers, influencers, as well as a strong, high-level network (architects/interior designers/dealers) in the high-end furniture industry.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the same industry
- Great business acumen and ability to develop relationships at all organizational levels
- Experience and a sensibility to work effectively within a multicultural environment
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- High-level proficiency with computers and new technology
- B.A. degree or higher preferred
- English language proficient; additional language skills relevant to the region are a plus
