The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of all projects. This role includes managing both the design and construction phases, ensuring seamless collaboration between clients, designers, architects, engineers and subcontractors. The Project Manager will oversee project schedules, budgets, quality, and safety, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
We are seeking a full-time skilled and detail-oriented Structural Steel Estimator/ Project Manager to join Firelands Fabrication. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing project requirements, estimating costs, and preparing accurate proposals for steel manufacturing projects. This position requires a deep understanding of steel fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards.
The list of duties and responsibilities includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Collaborate with project managers, erectors, engineers, field trades, vendors, and other stakeholders to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct site visits, if necessary, to gather relevant information.
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to determine the quantity and type of materials required.
- Estimate labor, equipment, and process costs associated with steel fabrication.
