We are looking for a Dividend Trader based in London to work closely with our global options team and help build out our European dividend trading capabilities. In this role, you will trade index and single stock dividend futures, manage dividend exposure arising from our broader options portfolio, and identify opportunities to grow our presence in this space. Dividend trading at Jane Street interfaces closely with our single stock and index options businesses. You will collaborate with colleagues across products and regions, contributing to idea generation, risk management, and strategic positioning. We are actively expanding our dividend trading capabilities and are looking for someone who brings product expertise and market intuition to help us develop this area. Your understanding of the dividend landscape, ability to spot relative value, and willingness to push us in new directions will be instrumental in our growth. Our Trading team is full of highly motivated professionals who have created a culture of trust, respect, and collaboration. Your working relationships, trader intuition, and ability to analyse special situations will add value to our team.
About You
- 3+ years of experience trading dividends at a bank or trading firm
- Strong understanding of index and single stock dividend futures markets
- Able to think critically and implement new ideas
- Strong quantitative skills in pricing and risk management
- Programming skills in Python preferred
- Experienced teaching others and open to learning new techniques
- Strong communicator with excellent planning, analytical, and people skills; comfortable coordinating across time zones
- Reliable and flexible team player with a positive attitude
- Detail-oriented, organised, and thorough, with a desire for continuous improvement
- Willingness to spend multiple weeks a year traveling to New York and Hong Kong is a plus
- Fluency in English required
