About the Role
Looking for a flexible job that fits around your life and makes a difference? We\'re looking for a friendly, dependable person to join our team at Jane\'s Charity Shop as a Holiday & Sickness Cover Shop Assistant.
This is a paid, casual position ideal for someone who\'s happy to work varied hours. Usually planned well in advance, and occasionally at short notice when we need extra help is a bonus.

What You\'ll Be Doing
- Serving customers and providing great customer service
- Handling cash and card payments using the till, and a key holder.
- Sorting, pricing, and displaying donated items
- Lifting heavy boxes and bags up and down stairs
- Restocking shelves and keeping the shop tidy and welcoming
- Supporting the team with general day-to-day shop duties
What We\'re Looking For
- A flexible, positive attitude
- Reliability and a willingness to help when needed
- Ability to be lifting heavy boxes and bags up and down stairs
- Availability for pre-planned holiday cover (usually arranged about 3 months in advance)
- Ideally, the ability to cover shifts at short notice for sickness or emergencies
- Retail experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
- A friendly and approachable manner
- Would be a maximum of 24hr per week
