Our Client in Stafford is looking for a chef that is responsible and expected to oversee kitchen operations and prepare high-quality dishes while managing kitchen staff and ensuring food safety regulations and standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes and menus.
  • Monitor food preparation processes to maintain quality, freshness, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised and compliant with sanitation standards including regular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces.
  • Oversee inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering supplies and controlling food costs.
  • Check environment of kitchen for compliance according to PPM books and Food Safety Regulations.
  • Ensure correct usage, storage and care of food products, stock control and equipment.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Proven experience in a kitchen and strong understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong team player with the ability to influence and manage effectively.
  • Good communication, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practice in food handling and preparation.

As a Bank Chef you must have:

  • Work experience as a chef or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with food preparation and managing a kitchen environment.
  • Experience working within a team.
  • Experience of handling conflicting priorities and expectations to ensure successful outcomes.
