We'd like you to join us as a Ward Manager for our service based in Stafford. Our service is a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) hospital for young people aged 12-18 with a diagnosed mental health condition. We’re committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy and empowered, enabling them to live the best life possible.

We specialise in supporting young people with severe or complex mental health conditions who need intensive inpatient treatment. We provide caring, supportive, recovery-focused treatment and we achieve this by working together with our young people, their families, and other professionals.

The postholder will provide day-to-day leadership of the nursing team and contribute to the development of high-quality, patient-centred care. They will offer specialist clinical advice, ensure robust assessment and delivery of care plans, and maintain safe medicines management.

The role involves supervising and supporting staff, upholding standards of privacy and dignity, and working with colleagues to implement effective infection prevention and control measures. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to share complex or sensitive information and maintain clear information flow across the multidisciplinary team. Accurate, timely record-keeping in line with local policies and NMC guidelines is required.
