Are you a Support Worker looking for flexible work in mental health care? Jane Lewis is recruiting compassionate and reliable Support Workers to assist with care and the general welfare of students within a secondary school setting.
What We Offer you as a Support Worker:

- Shifts are Monday to Friday from 8am to 3pm (term time only)

Your Role as a Support Worker:
- Ensure that identified students are taken to the toilet/hygiene room to have their personal care needs met.
- Give non-discriminatory care and support that values the diverse and unique qualities of each student, seeing the whole person and not merely their care needs.
- Follow the instructions of the care and support plans of each individual student.
- Safely use specialist equipment, beds and hoists in accordance with the general training/guidelines provided and in line with individual health care plans.
- Ensure that the maintenance of student dignity is always paramount.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff and other professionals within the academy.
- Report any changes or causes for concern to your line manager immediately and be clear about when to seek help and advice to keep students safe and promote their well-being.
- To be responsible for the care and cleanliness of specialist class chairs.
Requirements:
- Aged 18 or over
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Minimum 6 months experience in a healthcare or support setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport with vulnerable adults
