You will work closely with sales, estimating, legal and operational teams, reviewing tenders and contracts, identifying commercial exposure and ensuring that opportunities are structured to deliver sustainable and profitable outcomes.

This would suit an experienced commercial professional or Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in pre-contract activity, complex contractual negotiations and major projects within construction, engineering, infrastructure or a related project-led environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the commercial review of tenders, bids and customer contracts
  • Assessing contractual terms, pricing structures and commercial viability
  • Identifying financial, contractual and operational risks before contract award
  • Developing appropriate risk-mitigation strategies
  • Supporting commercial negotiations with customers and other stakeholders
  • Providing clear advice and recommendations to senior management
  • Working closely with sales, estimating, legal, finance and operational teams
  • Reviewing proposed departures, liabilities, warranties, payment terms and contractual obligations
  • Ensuring appropriate commercial governance and approval processes are followed
  • Supporting the successful handover of awarded contracts to operational delivery teams
  • Helping to improve commercial processes, controls and consistency across the business

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Significant experience in a senior commercial, pre-contract or Quantity Surveying role
  • Strong experience of reviewing and negotiating complex commercial contracts
  • A background in construction, engineering, infrastructure, building services or another project-led environment
  • Experience supporting multimillion-pound tenders and projects
  • Excellent commercial judgement and the ability to identify and clearly communicate risk
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder-management skills
  • The confidence to challenge constructively and influence senior decision-makers
  • A relevant commercial, Quantity Surveying, construction or legal qualification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

You will be joining a collaborative and commercially focused organisation offering flexibility over your base location. The role can be aligned to an office near Warrington, Coventry, Addlestone or Bathgate, with hybrid working available.
