Are you an experienced Freight Operator looking for your next challenge? Do you have experience managing Road, Sea and Air Freight shipments from booking through to delivery? Due to continued growth, we are looking for a proactive and organised Multimodal Freight Operator to join a busy and expanding logistics team based in Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing freight forwarding business where no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in ensuring shipments move smoothly across the globe while delivering exceptional customer service.

The Role

As a Multimodal Freight Operator, you will be responsible for coordinating freight shipments across Ocean, Air and European Road Freight services, managing the complete shipment lifecycle from booking through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing Ocean, Air and European Road Freight shipments
  • Arranging collections and deliveries
  • Monitoring shipments and providing proactive customer updates
  • Preparing and checking customs and shipping documentation
  • Managing freight inbox enquiries
  • Resolving operational issues, delays and exceptions
  • Liaising with customers, carriers and overseas agents
  • Updating internal systems accurately
  • Supporting invoicing and operational administration
  • Working closely with the Operations and Sales teams

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within Freight Forwarding, Logistics or Shipping
  • Knowledge of Ocean, Air and/or Road Freight operations
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
  • Customs knowledge would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Positive, proactive and team-focused attitude
