Our client, a well-established legal practice based in Hale, is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Legal Cashier to play a key role in the smooth running of their finance function. The Role
As Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, ensuring compliance, accuracy and efficiency across all accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
- Reconciling client and office accounts
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
- Preparing invoices, receipts and payments
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal procedures
- Managing petty cash and employee expenses
- Supporting external auditors and accountants when required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier in the UK or within a legal finance environment
- Knowledge of legal accounting processes and reconciliations
- Experience using ALB software would be highly advantageous
- Understanding of SRA Accounts Rules would be beneficial, although training can be provided
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communication skills and a professional approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Finance or accountancy qualifications are desirable but not essential
