An established UK-based services organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead its finance function and act as a key business partner to senior leadership. This is a hands-on, broad role offering real ownership of financial reporting, controls, and performance improvement within a stable and well-structured business.

The Role

Reporting into senior management, the Finance Manager will oversee end-to-end finance operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance across all financial reporting. The role plays a critical part in supporting commercial decision-making and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, developing, and motivating the finance team
  • Full ownership of monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis
  • Driving financial process improvement and system efficiencies
  • Ensuring strong governance, controls, and regulatory compliance
  • Overseeing VAT, CIS, statutory accounts, and audit requirements
  • Partnering with senior and operational stakeholders to support business performance

About You

  • 7 years’ experience in a senior finance role
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Strong operational finance and reporting background
  • Proven track record of process improvement and cost control
  • Confident communicator able to work across finance and non-finance teams
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Sage or similar ERP systems
