An established UK-based services organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead its finance function and act as a key business partner to senior leadership. This is a hands-on, broad role offering real ownership of financial reporting, controls, and performance improvement within a stable and well-structured business.
The Role
Reporting into senior management, the Finance Manager will oversee end-to-end finance operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance across all financial reporting. The role plays a critical part in supporting commercial decision-making and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, developing, and motivating the finance team
- Full ownership of monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis
- Driving financial process improvement and system efficiencies
- Ensuring strong governance, controls, and regulatory compliance
- Overseeing VAT, CIS, statutory accounts, and audit requirements
- Partnering with senior and operational stakeholders to support business performance
About You
- 7 years’ experience in a senior finance role
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Strong operational finance and reporting background
- Proven track record of process improvement and cost control
- Confident communicator able to work across finance and non-finance teams
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Sage or similar ERP systems
