Are you a commercially minded Litigation Solicitor looking for greater ownership, excellent-quality work and the opportunity to make a visible contribution within a growing legal practice? We are recruiting for an established and highly regarded law firm based in Hale. Due to continued growth, the firm is looking to appoint a qualified Commercial Litigation Solicitor with at least three years’ post-qualification experience.

Joining a busy and supportive litigation team, you will manage your own varied caseload while working alongside senior lawyers on larger, strategically important disputes. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor who combines strong technical ability with sound commercial judgement and first-class client care.

The role

You will advise businesses, directors and individuals on a broad range of complex commercial disputes, taking ownership of matters from initial assessment through to resolution. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters
  • Providing clear, pragmatic advice on legal risk, prospects of success, strategy and costs exposure
  • Preparing and progressing cases efficiently through the litigation process
  • Adopting a robust and commercially focused approach to achieving the best possible outcome for clients
  • Assisting senior members of the team with larger and more complex cases
  • Handling negotiations, settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate
  • Managing deadlines, procedural requirements and multiple concurrent matters
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records
  • Developing trusted, long-term client relationships through responsive and consistent service
  • Working collaboratively with the firm’s corporate, real estate and finance specialists to provide joined-up advice
  • Contributing positively to the continued growth and success of the Commercial Litigation team

About you

We would particularly like to hear from candidates who are:

  • Qualified solicitors with a minimum of three years’ PQE
  • Experienced in managing their own commercial litigation caseload
  • Technically strong, with good knowledge of litigation procedure
  • Commercially astute and confident assessing risk, strategy and costs
  • Tenacious, organised and comfortable working at pace
  • Excellent communicators with strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Highly attentive to detail and able to manage competing priorities
