Responsibilities:

To undertake duties under direction and guidance of Management and Senior Staff in accordance with agreed programmes of care and promoting independence to the client

  • To assist clients who need help with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing, and toileting
  • To help clients with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence, help in use of care aids and personal equipment
  • Assist clients with the personal care needs and help to provide health supervision and attention through direct care as needed
  • To ensure that log sheets are always written clean and precise in BLACK PEN and that everything is written down. IF IT IS NOT RECORDED, IT DID NOT HAPPEN
  • To prompt medication and to maintain medication records
  • Help to ensure that the preparation, cooking and serving of food meet the required standards
  • Participate in staff meetings and in staff training and development activities
  • Support the Registered Manager in her duties as the ‘Responsible Person’
  • To identify own training needs and attend both in house and external training as directed and as required by Jane Care
  • To always comply with Jane Care’s Policies and Procedures
  • To report to the Registered Manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client
  • To encourage clients to remain as independent as possible
  • To carry out any other tasks that may reasonably assigned to you by Management or Senior Staff

Hours:

Full time and part time positions are available, must be able to cover alternate weekends

Workdays consist of Mornings, Lunches, Teas, Evenings and Long Days - between the hours of 7am to 9pm

Requirements:

  • Female only due to client preference
  • Must be a driver with a Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
  • Experience is preferred but not essential, as full training is provided
