We are recruiting a Chef to work in our Community of Nurseries Location: Wallington Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Chef to join our friendly team in Wallington. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious, balanced meals from our Menu for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring all food is prepared to a high standard while meeting dietary, allergy, and food safety requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who is passionate about providing healthy meals for young children in a caring educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals and snacks in line with the nursery menu.
• Cater for a range of dietary requirements, allergies, intolerances, and cultural preferences.
• Ensure the kitchen is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Comply with Food Safety regulations, COSHH requirements, and nursery policies and procedures.
• Monitor and manage food stock, placing orders when required.
• Maintain accurate records relating to food temperatures, cleaning schedules, and allergy management.
• Work closely with nursery management to provide a positive dining experience for children.
• Ensure all meals are presented appropriately and served on time.
• Minimise food waste and manage kitchen budgets effectively.

• Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene- Desired/ Required to work towards
• Allergens- Desired / Required to work towards
• Experience as a chef- Required
