Operations Director
A well‑established, fast‑growing manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Operations Director to join its Leadership Team and play a key role in the next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the operational strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring efficient production planning and achievement of budgeted output.
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee procurement, stock, WIP, packing, despatch and facilities management.
- Build, coach and develop a high‑performing operational team.
- Ensure effective resolution of customer issues and embed learnings.
- Contribute fully as a member of the Leadership Team, supporting strategic planning and performance oversight.
Experience Required
- Extensive senior operations leadership in SME manufacturing.
- Strong background in short‑run/FMCG environments and world‑class manufacturing standards.
- Proven track record delivering Lean/modern manufacturing improvements.
- Commercially astute, strategically minded and operationally hands‑on.
- Inspirational leadership style with the ability to develop high‑performing teams.
- Desirable: experience in print, flexo, digital, tape or label manufacturing.
- Strong planning, data analysis and IT skills.
Salary commensurate with skills and experience, IRO £70‑80,000 plus car allowance plus bonus and benefits.
