As a Design Engineer at JTS, you will be at the heart of exciting water sector projects, developing high-quality engineering solutions that support the UK's critical infrastructure. What you’ll be doing:
In this role, you will contribute to a variety of water and wastewater projects, ensuring designs are efficient, sustainable, and compliant with industry standards. You will work closely with engineers, CAD Technicians, and project managers to bring innovative solutions to life. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Develop and produce civil engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Work closely with CAD Technicians to create accurate design models.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project success.
- Ensure all designs meet UK water industry regulations (WIMES, DSEAR, BS/EU standards).
- Conduct site inspections, assessments, and provide technical guidance when required.
- Develop innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
About You:
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to take on exciting infrastructure challenges. You should have a strong technical foundation and the ability to apply engineering principles effectively. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Proven track record in civil design engineering, ideally within the water and wastewater sector.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Understanding of hydraulic design, reinforced concrete structures, and pipeline design.
- Skilled in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, or similar engineering tools.
- Familiar with UK water industry standards and regulations.
- Strong ability to work with engineers, designers, and clients to achieve project success.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive, analytical approach to engineering challenges.
