Your new role as the National Account Manager involves working with major accounts and retailers including Boots and Superdrug. Your primary task is to lead the strategic partnership of two key accounts, which includes:

  • Negotiating Joint Business Plans (JBPs)
  • Securing new listings
  • Evaluating promotional spend
  • Monitoring competitor activity
  • Increasing market share

You will see breadth across the entire business, including sales, marketing, category, product, and logistics, which is unique, but operating within a matrix organisation isn’t for everyone.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and delivering a sales strategy relevant to Boots and Superdrug
  • Securing new listings and increasing distribution through collaboration
  • Optimising trade investment and ROI through effective promotional campaigns
  • Winning market share and monitoring competitor activity

  • Previous experience as a National Account Manager
  • Experience within an FMCG or Retail environment

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous scenarios
  • Willingness to learn

The interview process includes:

  • 45-minute TEAMS interview with the UK Country Manager and one other
  • 90-minute face-to-face interview with the UK Country Manager and one other, including a short data exercise and presentation
  • 30-minute final stage interview with People & Culture Business Partner
