Job Type - Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Mechanical Estimation, Quotation, Specification, Sizing, Calculating, Technical Advice, Selecting, Pricing The Role An industry leader in central plant heating and cooling seeks a Energy and Sustainability Engineer to work on large project specifications for complete decarbonisation of commercial buildings, both new build and retrofit. You will work with the sales team on specifying the latest high efficiency and low carbon emission hydronic chillers and commercial heat pumps on commercial projects which include office buildings, hospitals, public sector, government buildings, hotels, high rise residential, district heat networks, shopping centres, retail chains, data centres and process industries. This is a specialist team working on large megawatt projects using heat recovery and hydronic loop systems. Experience Required You will be a Mechanical Engineer that has Energy & Sustainability with HVAC experience, where you are used to selecting, sizing, calculating, specifying, designing, advising and pricing central plant commercial heating and commercial cooling. It will be of great interest if you have project knowledge on hydronic chilled water systems such as chillers and commercial heat pumps. However, there is advanced training if your experience is with standard HVAC, air conditioning, refrigerated, VRF / VRV and Direct Expansion (DX) systems. This is a team role although mostly working from home so you need to have good communication skills to engage effectively with sales teams and clients. The Package Initial indications by the client are a salary range of between £40,000 and £55,000 (£40k-£45k Intermediate level and £46k-£55k Advanced level experience), and there is a bonus from £4k - 10k, along with company car/car allowance (depending on experience level).
