Position - Technical Service Support Manager £52k base + £4k bonus (hybrid work from home and office 2 out of 5 days then 3 out of 5 days alternate weeks)

The Role
A leading national domestic heating service provider seeks an experienced Technical Support Manager to add to their heating service division. The successful candidate will oversee a team of Technical Support Engineers that support their national field based Service Engineer Team on any advanced boiler or heat pump technical queries or problems they may have on site across all the main boiler and air source heat pump manufacturers. This is a unique hybrid role that is office and home based working remotely overseeing a growing team of Technical Service Engineers.
Experience Required
You will have extensive previous hands-on experience servicing, fault find and fix on domestic heating systems including boilers and ideally heat pumps. Excellent communication skills are required as you will be advising service engineers from a variety of different backgrounds and intermediate to advanced levels of experience. Heating engineering gas qualifications or air source heat pump qualifications along with at least 5 years of experience are expected for this role as you will be overseeing advanced level heating service engineers. People management skills, both teaching, leadership and quality or performance management are essential as you will be managing existing team members and bringing in new additional team members.

The company is one of the largest domestic heating service providers nationally and due to growth of the company they are looking to add to their ever-expanding Technical Support Service Team. They have a national team of Technical Service Support Engineers each overseeing a regional team of field based Service Engineers, and they themselves have extensive experience either hands on and/or through qualifications to ensure their service engineers get the very best advice on fault finding and fix situations whether emergency call out or planned preventative maintenance / PPM's on boiler and heat pump domestic heating systems.
The Package
Starting base salary is up to £52,000 + £4k bonus, however further flexibility is available depending on the experience of the candidate. Also 25 days holiday + bank holiday, increasing after each year of service, private healthcare, pension, dental, mobile and laptop. There is no car with this position although you have the benefit of being off the tools working hybrid split week in the office and from home.
