Full-Time On-site
J

We're looking for a brilliant Social Media Lead (initially for a 12 month FTC, with the potential to go perm) who will be responsible for the day-to-day management and creative delivery of Jamie Oliver's social media channels. This is a very exciting opportunity where you will work closely with Jamie and teams across Entertainment, Brand, Communications, Publishing and Partnerships, the role turns business priorities, productions and relevant cultural moments into engaging, platform-native content.

This is a senior, hands-on role requiring strong creative judgement, excellent account and stakeholder management, and the confidence to work directly with Jamie. The role will manage the content calendar, develop and deliver social ideas, publish and optimise content, and keep projects moving smoothly from brief through to delivery. Based out of our London office near Highbury & Islington, with time spent in our Essex creative hub.

WHAT YOU’RE HERE TO DO

Work with Jamie and Develop Creative Content

  • Build a trusted and effective working relationship with Jamie, understanding his voice, creative instincts and the way he works best.
  • Develop original, relevant social ideas around Jamie's recipes, personality, social impact campaigns, productions and wider brand activity that fit into prioritised work.
  • Pitch ideas clearly and confidently to Jamie and senior stakeholders, adapting concepts in response to feedback without losing their social purpose.
  • Attend shoots and other key moments to plan, direct and capture platform-native social content, making the best use of Jamie's time.
  • Write, brief, capture and create content where required, including copy, short-form video, photography, live and reactive content.
  • Be confident editing content is preferable but not essential.
  • Identify timely trends, audience conversations and cultural opportunities that are right for Jamie and the brand.

Manage Channels and Community

  • Own the day-to-day running of Jamie Oliver's social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest and relevant emerging platforms.
  • Manage alongside the social media assistant the social content calendar, balancing planned campaigns, productions, partnerships, brand priorities and reactive opportunities.
  • Prepare, schedule and publish content accurately and on time, tailoring each asset, caption and format to the platform and audience.
  • Maintain a consistent and recognisable Jamie Oliver tone of voice across all social output.
  • Oversee community engagement and moderation, identifying opportunities to build audience connection and escalating sensitive issues appropriately.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, including copy, credits, usage rights, links, tags and partner requirements.

Account Manage Campaigns and Stakeholders

  • Act as the central social contact for internal teams, ensuring requests are understood, prioritised and translated into clear deliverables.
  • Manage social projects from brief to completion, setting timelines, coordinating inputs, securing approvals and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Develop and deliver social content for commercial partners, balancing the brief, audience needs and Jamie Oliver brand standards.
  • Work day to day with the PR team to ensure synergy between earned and owned media.
  • Work closely with Production, Brand, Communications, Publishing, Restaurants and Partnerships to identify content opportunities and coordinate delivery.
  • Brief and coordinate designers, editors, creators, freelancers and other contributors where specialist support is required.
  • Manage competing priorities calmly and transparently, raising risks early and agreeing realistic solutions.

Use Performance to Improve the Work

  • Monitor channel and content performance across reach, engagement, audience growth, views, traffic and relevant campaign objectives.
  • Turn platform data, audience behaviour and community feedback into practical recommendations for future content.
  • Provide clear, proportionate performance updates to stakeholders, focusing on what worked, what did not and what should change next.
  • Test new formats, creative approaches, platform features and publishing choices, applying learning to ongoing delivery.
  • Support paid amplification and commercial reporting where required, working with the relevant internal or external specialists.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Experience

  • Managing high-profile social channels for a talent-led, lifestyle, media, entertainment, agency or food brand.
  • Working directly with talent or senior creative figures and building trusted relationships in a fast-moving environment.
  • Developing strong social-first ideas and taking them through briefing, production, approval, publishing and optimisation.
  • Creating platform-native content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, with an informed view of other relevant channels.
  • Managing busy content calendars and multiple campaigns with overlapping stakeholders, deadlines and approval routes.
  • Delivering branded and commercial social content that meets partner requirements while remaining useful and engaging for audiences.
  • Using native analytics and social management tools to evaluate performance and improve content decisions.
  • Responding appropriately to trends, live moments and reputational considerations.
  • Experience of international or multi-territory channels is desirable but not essential.

Skills

  • Creative judgement: able to recognise a strong idea, develop it for the right platform and protect its quality through delivery.
  • Talent management: confident, tactful and well prepared when working directly with Jamie, including in fast-paced production settings.
  • Content creation: strong copywriting and practical short-form video, photography, editing and live-content skills.
  • Account management: able to clarify briefs, manage expectations, coordinate approvals and maintain productive relationships.
  • Project management: organised and dependable, with the ability to move several projects forward at once and meet deadlines.
  • Platform expertise: a strong working knowledge of channel behaviours, formats, publishing tools, analytics and evolving best practice.
  • Performance insight: able to interpret data and turn it into specific, useful improvements rather than reporting numbers in isolation.
  • Commercial awareness: able to meet partnership objectives while protecting audience trust and brand integrity.

Behaviours

  • Hands-on and resourceful, willing to move between ideas, shoots, copy, publishing, reporting and problem-solving.
  • Calm and credible, particularly when working with talent, senior stakeholders and time-sensitive requests.
  • Collaborative and clear, able to bring people together and communicate decisions, deadlines and trade-offs.
  • Audience-led and culturally aware, with good judgement about what is relevant for Jamie and what is not.
  • Accountable and dependable, taking ownership of delivery and addressing issues early.
  • A careful brand guardian who understands Jamie Oliver's tone, values and position in the wider food and entertainment landscape.
