This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-performing lawyer to take ownership of a key strategic growth area within a leading international firm’s London office. The firm has long been a global force in trade, commodities and shipping — with particularly strong Trade Finance capabilities across Geneva and Singapore. London, however, is the missing link. With a steady flow of existing work from major banks, commodities traders, and hedge funds, the platform is already there; what’s needed now is the right person to build, lead and grow the practice.
They are seeking an ambitious Senior Associate, Legal Director, Of Counsel or Junior Partner – likely 8+ PQE – with the confidence and drive to make a tangible impact. You may already have a modest following, or be on the cusp of partnership and ready to prove yourself in a setting where there’s real space to develop.
The successful candidate will have strong Trade Finance experience, ideally focused on transactional matters. Broader finance experience with meaningful exposure to trade-related work will also be considered. The role requires London experience, credibility with financial institutions, and a forward-looking mindset.
