We are working with a fast-growing fintech who specialise in cross-border regulated payment, wallet and trading services related to digital assets and cryptocurrency. This is a fabulous opportunity to join a global legal function with high degrees of working flexibility, where you can work remotely from the UK or in a hybrid pattern in their London office.
As Senior Legal Counsel, you will report directly into the Head of Legal where you will be expected to provide legal advice, guidance, direction and partnership across a wide variety of legal matters in the digital assets payments space. Successful candidates will be expected to perform day-to-day tasks including:
- Providing guidance on emerging legal issues and regulatory developments in the payments, banking and crypto industries.
- Conducting contract and data privacy review.
You will be well versed in payment industry regulation, both current and future, and be comfortable working collaboratively with a cross-functional team in compliance to respond to external regulatory and reporting requirements.
It is essential that candidates have at least 3 years' PQE (UK or EU legal qualification) having trained either in an international law firm or in-house. Previous experience gained in the financial services industry with a fintech specialising in payments would be highly advantageous. Fluency in English and French/German is a necessity.
