A 12 month assignment with a well-respected City law firm looking for a restructuring lawyer to join their ranked team. The assignment will start in January in London and is suited for mid-market restructuring lawyers with upwards of 2 years’ PQE.
The successful individual will be part of a dynamic, busy, and tight-knit team working on a range of mid-market, high quality work encompassing transactional, advisory, and contentious restructuring matters. The focus will be on transactional restructuring matters and can accommodate individuals without contentious exposure.
Clients include entrepreneurial early-stage businesses and their investors, national and international brands, as well as established insolvency practitioners. Working closely with a Partner, supervision is available as required.
The successful individual will be able to demonstrate:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales, or another commonwealth jurisdiction (for example, Australia or New Zealand) with relevant UK based mid-market restructuring experience;
- Upwards of 2 years’ experience in advising on restructuring matters;
- Recent experience gained within firms focusing on mid-market restructuring work;
- Experience in advising on distressed transactions and advisory situations across the restructuring and formal insolvency process spectrum;
- A confidence and competence in working for insolvency and turnaround practitioners, debtors and creditors in distressed scenarios;
- Exceptional technical legal knowledge;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- A familiarity with and willingness to get involved in banking and debt finance matters handled within the wider team would be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite.
The team operates on a hybrid basis, with 2-3 days per week required in their London office. The firm is open to considering individuals looking for a full time or part time commitment, and can engage individuals either on a pro rata annual salary or a daily rate (inside IR35).
