Job Description
A leading Legal 100 firm in the South East is looking for an ambitious solicitor to join its busy and respected Real Estate Dispute Resolution team. Working with a diverse client base across residential and commercial property sectors, you will gain hands-on experience with high-quality contentious work, guided by experienced partners and associates.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop a specialism in landlord and tenant disputes, leasehold management, development risk, and investment-related litigation in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Advising on a broad range of residential and commercial property disputes, including service charge recovery, lease interpretation, tenant default, right of first refusal, lease renewals, collective enfranchisement, and long leasehold management.
- Assisting on more complex litigation and dispute resolution matters alongside experienced colleagues.
- Drafting and negotiating pleadings, instructions to counsel, correspondence, and settlement documentation.
- Managing your own caseload under supervision while meeting agreed billing and time recording targets.
- Attending client meetings, hearings, and contributing to strategy discussions on complex matters.
- Supporting the team's business development, knowledge sharing and training initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 1-5PQE.
- Previous experience in property litigation or general litigation with a property focus.
- A solid grasp of key legislation including Housing Acts, Landlord and Tenant Acts, and the Landlord and Tenant (Covenants) Act 1995.
- Commercial awareness and an ability to understand and align with client objectives.
- Strong drafting and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive, collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in building a long-term career in property litigation.
