This international law firm is seeking to further strengthen its marine insurance team in London with the addition of a technically strong and commercially focused Associate. The role will involve a broad mix of work across marine insurance and reinsurance claims, including hull, cargo, war, mortgagee\βs interest, and yacht-related matters. You will also advise on marine casualty work-salvage, collisions, and general average-as well as dry shipping disputes involving charterparties, shipbuilding, and ship sale agreements. The team handles matters across coverage, defence, and subrogation, often with an international dimension. There is also scope to be involved in drafting policies and contributing to business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have solid experience from a recognised shipping or insurance law practice. Familiarity with arbitration, particularly LMAA proceedings, is essential. Additional language skills would be welcomed, though are not a requirement.
