This opportunity would suit an experienced commercial lawyer seeking a high-quality, flexible platform, whilst continuing to build client relationships and develop their own profile. The role offers significant autonomy, support from an experienced leadership team, and genuine opportunities to contribute to the growth of both the practice and wider business. Business development, networking and client relationship management form an important part of the firm's culture, with substantial internal support available to help consultants grow their practice.

The successful candidate can expect to advise on a broad range of commercial matters, including:

  • Commercial contracts across multiple sectors
  • Supply agreements, agency and distribution agreements
  • Terms and conditions
  • Introducer agreements
  • SaaS and software-related contracts
  • Data protection issues arising within commercial transactions
  • Intellectual property and licensing matters
  • Support on corporate transactions, including transitional services and intra-group agreements
  • Advising founders, entrepreneurs and growing businesses throughout their lifecycle

There will also be opportunities to supervise and mentor junior lawyers, contribute to the development of the commercial practice, and take an active role in business development initiatives.

Suitable candidates are likely to demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Ideally 7+ years' PQE gained within notable law firms
  • Strong experience advising on a broad range of commercial contracts
  • A solid understanding of data protection issues within commercial agreements
  • Experience working in-house and/or on secondment
  • Previous exposure to managing client relationships at a senior level
  • Experience supervising teams or a desire to take on leadership responsibilities
  • An interest in business development and growing a personal practice
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • A commercial, solutions-focused approach to legal advice

This position is offered on a consultancy basis, with flexibility around working patterns. The firm is open to discussing arrangements of approximately 3, 4 or 5 days per week, depending on availability and business requirements. A competitive hourly rate is available.
