This is an opportunity to join a UK-headquartered international law firm with a long-standing and highly regarded US debt practice based in London. From its London platform, the firm advises on complex, cross-border financing transactions for an impressive global client base, working seamlessly across jurisdictions and time zones.
The London finance team is firmly established and widely recognised for its work across acquisition and leveraged finance, corporate debt, private placements and high-yield bond transactions. Acting for lenders, borrowers and sponsors, the practice is regularly instructed on high-profile and technically demanding matters spanning both developed and emerging markets.
The team is now seeking a mid to senior-level US-qualified Associate to join its existing group and play a key role in the ongoing delivery of this work.
The role will involve advising on the US law aspects of a broad range of financing transactions, including high-yield bonds, liability management exercises and US private placements. Associates are given meaningful responsibility, with direct client exposure, involvement in transaction management, and the opportunity to supervise and mentor junior Lawyers. The environment is collaborative and collegiate, with an emphasis on quality, consistency and long-term client relationships rather than short-term growth.
Applicants should be admitted in New York and typically have between four and eight years' post-qualification experience, gained within a strong finance practice. A solid background in acquisition and leveraged finance is essential, together with strong drafting skills, commercial awareness and the confidence to take ownership of workstreams. This role will suit someone looking to develop their career within a stable, UK-rooted platform offering genuinely international work.
