Overview

In this role you will join a London Restructuring & Insolvency team to advise a broad range of stakeholders on complex matters. You will take significant responsibility from day one, leading transactions and collaborating across practices and jurisdictions to support growth. You will handle both contentious and non-contentious mandates, delivering clear, commercial guidance on insolvency issues and restructuring options. This is a high-impact position with a focus on cross-border work, business development, and shaping the firm’s insolvency practice.

Responsibilities

  • Advise stakeholders including insolvency office holders, lenders, directors, investors and corporates
  • Lead distressed M&A transactions across various sectors
  • Support boards through financial stress and advise on directors’ duties and restructuring options
  • Draft, review and negotiate restructuring and insolvency documentation
  • Manage appointments and related court applications
  • Provide clear, commercial advice on complex legal issues
  • Support client development and thought leadership initiatives

Key requirements

  • 5-7 years’ PQE in Restructuring and Insolvency from a respected law firm
  • Experience across both contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding of insolvency frameworks
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and analyse complex information
  • Awareness of cross-border issues and regulatory considerations
