Our client is a leading international law firm with a well-established reputation in the insurance and reinsurance sector. They are seeking a Senior Associate to join its specialist Insurance Transactions & Regulation team in London.
This is an opportunity to become part of a highly regarded practice that advises across the full spectrum of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters affecting the insurance market. The team is recognised for its depth of sector knowledge and works with a broad client base that includes insurers, reinsurers, brokers, intermediaries, investors and emerging market participants across both the UK and international markets.
The role offers an excellent balance of transactional, advisory and regulatory work. Acting on matters involving Lloyd's, the London Market and the wider non-life insurance and reinsurance sector, you will advise on acquisitions, investments, restructurings, distribution arrangements, regulatory change and day-to-day commercial issues. The work is varied, intellectually engaging and often involves complex cross-border elements.
You will join a collaborative and well-connected team that works closely with colleagues across corporate, regulatory and disputes practices. The environment is supportive, collegiate and commercially focused, providing a strong platform for Lawyers looking to deepen their market expertise while taking on greater responsibility and client exposure.
Applications are welcomed from England & Wales qualified Lawyers with approximately 4-6 years' PQE gained within a recognised law firm or relevant in-house environment. Candidates should have experience of corporate and commercial transactions involving regulated businesses, with exposure to insurance regulatory matters viewed favourably. A genuine interest in the insurance sector, strong drafting and transaction management skills, and the confidence to build trusted client relationships will be important.
