Our client, a leading law firm, is looking for a talented Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor (2-4 years' PQE) to join its successful team in London. Lawyers advise an impressive client base, including developers, contractors, consultants, funds, ultra-high-net-worth individuals and major institutions.
Working across a diverse range of sectors, including film and studios, sports, hotels and leisure, industrials and logistics, living and retail, you will have the opportunity to work on high-quality matters and to build strong client relationships. Your work will include: Drafting and negotiating building contracts, including JCT contracts, consultant appointments and collateral warranties. Advising on construction-related security documents, including bonds, guarantees and escrow agreements.
Supporting development agreements, funding arrangements, agreements for lease and property transactions alongside the Commercial Real Estate team. Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to deliver commercially focused, joined-up advice to clients. You will ideally have: Experience gained within a UK private practice firm, with a focus on real estate-related construction work. Confidence drafting and negotiating consultant appointments, collateral warranties and the main forms of JCT contract.
Strong communication, organisational and prioritisation skills. A proactive, commercially minded approach and a genuine commitment to excellent client service. The ability to manage demanding deadlines, work collaboratively and maintain exceptional attention to detail. Experience with letters of intent, pre-construction agreements and real estate transactions, including purchases. disposals and lettings would be advantageous.
