Job Description
Jameson Legal is working with a large UK business in the service sector on the appointment of a Legal Counsel to lead their compliance work. The role reports directly into the General Counsel and gives the successful candidate the opportunity to build out the compliance function from a blank canvas.
The role will cover whistleblowing, policies and procedures and the legal training programme, alongside data protection, KYC and commercial contracts. You will also manage two data protection specialists and sit within a small in house team that includes a Head of Legal, two Legal Counsel and a company secretarial team.
Our client is looking for a qualified lawyer with 3 to 5 PQE and some compliance experience. Please note this is a legal role, so they are looking for a lawyer rather than a compliance professional. They are open on sector, although experience within a service or supplier environment would be helpful.
The role is permanent and London based, with 4 days in the office. The package includes a 10% bonus and other benefits.
