A superb opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Infrastructure Finance Associate to join a highly respected London team, working closely with a market-leading Partner renowned for her work across complex, high-value financings in the infrastructure and energy transition sectors. This team is known for guiding sponsors, funds, lenders and multilaterals through the full range of infrastructure financings – spanning both brownfield acquisitions and major greenfield project developments. The work is diverse and strategically important, covering transport, energy transition (including renewables, storage and EV charging), digital infrastructure, healthcare, water and waste, and other core infrastructure asset classes. You will be involved in sophisticated acquisition financings (including midco/holdco structures), project financings, hybrid products and occasionally fund-level facilities. The practice regularly acts on headline European and global mandates and is consistently recognised for its depth of expertise, international reach and collaborative culture.
The Role: Associates in this team handle some of the most technically interesting and commercially significant deals in the market. You will be:
- Advising leading infrastructure funds and major financial institutions on a wide range of acquisition and project financings.
- Taking responsibility for running key workstreams and negotiating complex documentation, with appropriate senior support.
- Working alongside a Partner celebrated for her industry insight, strategic thinking and hands-on approach to Associate development.
- Contributing to forming and maintaining strong relationships with sophisticated repeat clients.
- Working within a collegiate global practice, benefiting from close integration with teams across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
About You: You will be a 4–7 PQE finance Lawyer, ideally with strong experience in infrastructure acquisition finance; project finance exposure is also very welcome. A background from a leading international firm is preferred, and you should be comfortable working to high levels of autonomy on substantial transactions. Strong drafting skills, excellent commercial awareness and familiarity with LMA documentation are essential. This role will suit someone who enjoys complex financing structures, appreciates the nuances of cross-border execution, and values both technical excellence and client engagement.
