A leading UK law firm with offices located throughout the country, are looking for a Housing Management/Property Litigation paralegal. The role is permanent and is based in their London office. Our client acts for over 100 Registered Providers, advising on all aspects of housing management and property litigation issues.
Reporting to the Partner, and assisting the Solicitors in the team with their work as well as building your own caseload, the role will involve providing advice and assistance to Registered Providers of Social Housing and private landlords in a broad range of matters, including possession proceedings based on rent arrears, breach of tenancy, anti-social behaviour and unauthorised occupiers, injunction proceedings, disrepair claims and claims against leaseholders including forfeiture.
Specific duties include (but are not limited to):
- drafting and preparing claim forms
- preparing trial bundles
- liaising with Court prior to trial
- assisting with general paralegal and administrative tasks in an effective and timely manner
This is a full-time position with about 3-4 days in the office a week, depending on business needs.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum 2. law degree or equivalent. The LPC is desirable, as is experience in dealing with registered providers and private landlords, and previous property litigation experience.
