A long-standing client, a leading global consultancy, is looking to engage two senior Employment Lawyers on a contract of 6 months in duration. The contracts are to start ASAP and will require 2-3 days per week in their London offices.
The successful employment lawyers can expect to work closely with a wide range of external clients, many of whom are multi-national household names, in advising on a variety of large scale workforce transformations and post-deal workforce integration matters. Matters will likely involve long term, complex and global projects involving collective consultations, changes in conditions, TUPE and redundancy. Successful individuals can expect to liaise and negotiate with social partners, trade unions and employee representative bodies, and work alongside non-legal colleagues across tax, pensions and performance improvement.
There will be notable autonomy and client facing work from day one. A hybrid working policy is in place, and a competitive daily rate (inside IR35) is on offer.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales, ideally, although those qualified within other commonwealth jurisdictions will be considered
- Upwards of 8 years' PQE in advising on a range of Employment law matters, particularly workforce transformations and workforce integrations
- Exposure to employee relations work would be beneficial, but is not a prerequisite
- Training or some experience gained within a notable law firm setting, before moving In House
- Experience gained within professional services or a business consulting settings would be ideal
- The ability to build strong relationships with clients
- Sharp attention to detail
- Capacity to start a new role immediately or at short notice
