A new opportunity has come up for a head of development to join a growing, successful legal software consultancy. This is a permanent position based in London. The main purpose of this role will be to lead the technology function, establish processes and help shape the firm's technical direction. Providing technical guidance and establishing engineering standards and coding practices. Leading modernisation of the existing application and database estate. Translating requirements into achievable development plans. Ensuring delivery risks are identified and managed. Overseeing delivery commitments and agile practices. Establishing appropriate governance for technical documentation and development tools. Managing development budgets and expenditure. Assessing and challenging development approaches and decisions. Strong experience in C#, , ASP, and SQL Server. Proven experience improving software engineering practices. Solid architectural and database design expertise.
