Corporate M&A Senior Associate - (5 PQE) - London

A leading international law firm is looking for a Senior Associate to join its London corporate team. The team focuses on M&A in the technology, communications and gaming sectors. Most of the deals are about the infrastructure behind these sectors: data centres, fibre and telecoms networks, and the platforms and software businesses that run on them. The team is one of the largest and best-regarded in the UK and Europe, and it's consistently ranked by Chambers and Legal 500. There's a steady flow of buy-side and sell-side M&A, growth capital and strategic investment work for private equity houses, infrastructure and institutional investors, corporates and growth companies. This is a pure corporate transactional role. The deals are often cross-border and have bespoke structures, so there's plenty to get your teeth into. You'll lead transactions yourself and run teams in London and overseas, working alongside partners who only do deals in these sectors. There's also real scope to build your own client relationships and your profile in the market. The successful candidate is likely to have: At least 5 years' PQE in corporate M&A from a leading law firm; Ideally, deal experience in digital infrastructure, telecoms or the wider tech sector; Excellent drafting skills, and the confidence to create bespoke documents without relying on precedents; Sound commercial judgement, and the ability to give clear, practical advice; and A real interest in using AI tools in your work.
