We are working with a market leading ALSP in securing an experienced Banking Lawyer for a leading global financial services organisation. The assignment is due to start ASAP, will run for 12 months, and could be based out of offices in London, Birmingham or Leeds, with three days per week in the office required.
The successful lawyer is likely to have upwards of 6 years' PQE in handling corporate lending or leveraged finance experience, particularly on mid-market deals and will take responsibility for running mid-market corporate lending transactions, working closely with corporate banking clients, internal stakeholders and external counsel throughout the lifecycle of a deal. It is essential that the successful individual is comfortable independently managing loan processes and leading on both the commercial and legal aspects of lending documentation.
The role will involve advising on transaction structuring and early-stage documentation, through to negotiating key finance documents, including LMA facility agreements and intercreditor agreements. Transactions can include bilateral and multi-banked facilities, refinancings, acquisition finance, MBOs and other corporate lending arrangements.

- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to explain complex legal and financing issues to internal stakeholders
