We've been instructed on an exciting opportunity for an aviation finance associate to work closely with a leading, directory-ranked partner on a genuinely high-quality international practice. This role will suit an associate of around 2 PQE who wants exposure to sophisticated, cross-border aviation finance transactions and the chance to take real ownership of work. The practice advises a blue-chip client base across the full spectrum of aviation finance, including complex structured deals and fleet-level transactions.

You will be involved in matters such as operating and finance leasing, secured and unsecured financings, export credit backed transactions, tax-based leasing structures, and fleet procurement work. The associate will work directly with partners, enjoy meaningful client exposure, and be encouraged to develop deep sector expertise from an early stage.

The role will suit candidates who can demonstrate:

  • England & Wales qualification with circa 2 PQE in aviation finance
  • Training and experience gained at a strong City or recognised boutique practice
  • Excellent drafting and transaction management skills
  • A commercial, solutions-focused mindset
  • Strong communication skills and professional client presence
  • A consistent and strong academic background
  • Confidence taking responsibility and managing multiple workstreams

There is a flexible and adult approach to working arrangements, with an emphasis on quality of output rather than presenteeism. For the right associate, this offers an excellent platform for long-term development within a high-calibre aviation finance practice.
