The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.

We are working with a fast-growing scale-up who specialise in cross-border online payments and have an impressive international client base working with institutional FS entities. Our client has grown tremendously in recent years and they are seeking to make their first ever legal hire to join the group where you will be based in their London office, working in a hybrid model.

As Legal Counsel you will report directly into the Chief Risk Officer, who in turn acts as a senior member of the leadership team. You will be expected to provide legal advice, guidance, direction and partnership across a wide variety of legal matters in the payments space.

Successful candidates will have extensive experience in drafting, negotiating and finalising commercial agreements/contracts with customers, partners and suppliers (B2B and B2C). You will be well versed in payment industry regulation, both current and future, and be comfortable working collaboratively with a cross-functional team in compliance to respond to external regulatory and reporting requirements.

It is essential that candidates have at least 2 years' PQE (England & Wales qualified), having trained either in a UK law firm or in-house. Previous experience gained in the financial services industry with a fintech specialising in payments would be highly advantageous.
