We are working with one of the fastest growing organisations in the UK. This company is a specialist within the financial services sector related to pensions and they are seeking a senior lawyer to join their team either in the London office or can be fully remote (UK based). As a Legal Counsel you will report directly into the CLO who in turn reports directly into the CEO and the Board and will be expected to provide legal advice, guidance, direction and partnership across a wide variety of legal matters. Successful candidates will have extensive experience on pension regulation and legal matters including defined contributions, PSOs and family law aspects of UK pensions. In this role you will work closely with the compliance team and so experience in AML/KYC and duty consumer regulations are highly valued. Day-to-day responsibilities will also include contributing to wider commercial matters on areas such as data protection, litigation and commercial contracts. This is an excellent role to join a fantastic tight-knit team and it is essential that candidates have at least 5 PQE (England & Wales qualified) having trained either in a UK law firm or in-house. Ideally you would also have experience of working in a commercial in-house environment, although this is not essential. Previous experience gained in the financial services industry specialising in pensions would be highly advantageous. For a confidential chat about this or other roles we are handling, please contact Robert Gregorio in the Jameson Legal London office. Please note that where a level of preferred experience or qualification is indicated, this is a guideline only and does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience. Jameson Legal acts as an employment business for temporary recruitment and as an employment agency for fixed term contract and permanent recruitment.
