Job Description We are seeking a Head of Corporate & Commercial to lead and grow the corporate practice of a well-regarded independent firm in Kent. /n The Team /n Our client is a modern, independently owned firm with an established corporate offering acting for owner-managed and investor-backed companies across the UK and internationally. The team handles the full transactional spectrum including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and reorganisations, joint ventures and venture capital and growth investment work and has built its reputation on commercial, responsive advice delivered in a way that suits how its clients actually work. /n The Role /n You will take ownership of the corporate offering and lead the transactional workload across the practice. The work spans share and asset acquisitions and disposals, group restructurings and reorganisations, the structuring and documentation of joint ventures, and venture capital and growth investment rounds acting for both companies and investors, from term sheet and due diligence through to completion and post-deal integration. Alongside this sits a steady flow of commercial contract work supporting clients' day-to-day trading and their key supplier, customer and partner relationships. Beyond the legal work, you will set the strategy for the practice area, supervise and develop the lawyers within it, and play a leading role in client relationships and business development. /n Key Qualifications /n /n - A senior corporate lawyer, qualified in England & Wales, typically 8+ years' PQE /n - A strong M&A track record, with experience of restructurings, joint ventures and venture capital or growth investment transactions /n - Comfortable advising on commercial contracts alongside the transactional workload /n - Experience supervising, mentoring and developing other lawyers /n - A commercial, pragmatic approach and the appetite to lead a practice area and help build it /n /n This is a rare opportunity to lead and build a practice within an established and highly regarded firm, with hybrid and flexible working, a strong benefits package and a culture that takes wellbeing seriously. /n To apply, please submit your CV detailing your experience and suitability for the role. /n For a confidential chat about this or other roles we are handling, please contact Natasha Jones.
